I have always had a keen interest in the human body, the mind, the Heart and how it all works, how it moves and its extraordinary ability to heal itself.
I was in the healthcare profession for many years which was very satisfying for me as it fulfilled my strong desire to be of service to others who were unwell in one way or another, unfortunately from many years of moving and handling people i developed problems with my back and it was from here that i discovered my passion for Yoga as this alleviated allot of my discomfort.
This passion took me to India for quite a few years where I was able to fully dive into a deep Yoga and meditation practice eventually training has a Hatha Yoga Teacher.
After I gave birth to my son the old back pain began to trouble me again which lead me on a search to find a treatment that was in line with my belief that the body has its own natural healing mechanisms and which was non invasive. I discovered the Bowen Technique through a recommendation and immediately i was impressed with its fundamental approach of Less is More and its honoring of the moving body and its innate wisdom to heal itself given the right conditions.
After a course of Bowen treatments i not only began to notice quite a significant difference in terms of pain but also as the layers of my chronic pain were peeled away in each Bowen treatment i began to learn why i had this pain and how certain ways of being continued to perpetuate it not only physically but emotionally and mentally as well.This was valuable and enlightening information that helped sharpen awareness of myself in a much more Holistic and integrated way.
Needless to say I had to learn more! and so i studied the Bowen Technique with the European College of Bowen Studies and became a practitioner which I find extremely interesting and meaningful.
As the years have passed I have have grown ever deepr in sensitivity and intuition, how I perceive has expanded and I no longer simply see just a physical body but instead I sense many bodies around this dense form that we call a Human. And these realisations and new ways of seeing are what lead me on a journey into what is known as Energy Medicine and it is this which has transformed my work to a higher level where i am now able to often work on the Bigger picture of someones Ill health and make changes that could never have been made just by treating the Physical body alone.
This fusion of work is what has given me the eyes to see and a medium in which to bridge and create a much better communication and synergy within our physical , vital, mental and spiritual bodies, ultimately allowing us to transcend limitiations to a point where anything is possible on the level of true health and wellbeing.
